Quick answer: We collect your name, address, phone, email and solar system details to assess compatibility and arrange surveys. We share data with installer partners we connect you with. We do not sell your data. You can withdraw consent at any time. See our full policy below.
How Battery Retrofit Scotland collects, uses and protects your personal data under UK GDPR. This policy covers the compatibility checker form, survey enquiries, and any communications you have with us.
When you use the compatibility checker or contact us, we collect your name, address, postcode, phone number, email address, and details about your existing solar system (inverter type, system age, panel count). We also collect information you provide in emails, WhatsApp messages or phone calls.
We use your data to assess your battery retrofit compatibility, arrange a no-obligation survey if you are eligible, connect you with an installer partner, and communicate with you about your enquiry. We may also keep a record of your enquiry for quality and complaints handling purposes.
We share your data with installer partners we connect you with, so they can carry out the survey and installation. We do not sell your data to third parties. We may use a CRM system to manage enquiries. See our Cookie Policy for information about analytics cookies.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access your data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict processing, and object to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email info@scottishenergyefficiency.co.uk or call 0141 230 0198.
We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months after your last interaction with us. If you proceed with an installation, relevant data is kept for the duration of the warranty period plus 6 years for legal and insurance purposes.
When we connect you with an installer partner, we share the information you have provided so they can carry out the survey and prepare an installation quote. This includes your contact details, address, and the technical details of your existing solar system. We only share your data with the specific installer partner we connect you with — we do not send your details to multiple installers or marketing lists. The installer partner is responsible for their own data handling once they receive your information, and they should provide you with their own privacy policy. If you do not want us to share your data with an installer partner, let us know and we will not proceed with the connection — though this means we cannot arrange a survey or installation for you.
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal data. Enquiry data is stored in a access-controlled CRM system. Email communications use standard business email services. We do not store payment card details because we do not take payments directly — all installation payments are made to the installer partner. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove it from our active systems within 30 days, subject to any legal requirement to retain records relating to completed installations. If you have any concerns about how your data is secured, contact us and we will explain our current practices in more detail.
We collect your name, address, phone number, email and solar system details when you use our quote form, compatibility checker or contact us. This information is used to assess compatibility and arrange surveys.
